Ukulele with Mrs Hunter

Today we started learning how to play the ukulele. It’s great fun! Mrs Hunter was really impressed with our efforts.

We have enjoyed creating and playing our own games of Snakes and Ladders using Roman Numerals.

A great start to Year 4 Home Learning

Just a few examples of the excellent home learning completed this week.

Rounding Numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000

In Maths, we have been working very hard to grasp the concept of rounding.  The rhombus rounding challenge really tested our understanding of rounding to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000.

Today, we thoroughly enjoyed taking part in speed bounce, five strides, standing long jump and vertical jump.

Our first reading raffle took place this morning,well done to our two lucky winners.

 

Action heroes!

We have started our learning on the book Traction Man which over the next few weeks we will explore more.A couple of children dressed up in a red cape taking on the role of the  superhero. The pupils then asked them some tough questions!

 

Hamish and the Worldstoppers,our class reading book.

Welcome to W4, we have been reading a book called Hamish and the Worldstoppers . We are all enjoying it and have been laughing every day as Mr Wolsey is really good at changing his voice for the different characters.
